I have not been feeling too energetic lately- health, stress, etc-

Cartoon Characters [Feb. 15th, 2008|08:42 am]
[mood | Slaphappy]

If you asked me which cartoon character I was most like. The MOST like, I want to say something cool like the villains from Batman. Catwoman (love her!) Harley Quinn (so wonderfully unstable!) or Poison Ivy! Heck, I would even go for bossy little Kitara or whoever that acrobat chick is from Avatar.

But really...i am not like that.

the cartoon character I am most similar to is Slappy the Squirrel from Animaniacs.

hubba hubba!! [Oct. 18th, 2007|01:42 pm]
[mood | anxious]

For my birthday week, I was planning on going up to Hubba Hubba Revue in SF to continue my celebration (started on tuesday, and has been continuing since). But due to poor planning on my part, I will be driving (by my lonesome) and not flying...

It's, what, a 9 hour drive from LA? Without the 5 and 14 all buggered up? oh dear.

[edit]

I got a flight. its only money right?

that is what i am telling myself at least. :P

That’s not me! [Oct. 3rd, 2007|03:14 pm]
[Current Location |the silver screen, baby.]
[mood | amused]

As you may or may not know, I have a doppelganger. I have either told you this, or posted it on my journal. In fact, I have known for quite some time that she is living in LA and she is a model or an actress or both, and I have been mistaken for her (or really, she is mistaken for me).

Well, I got to see "me" in a trailer today! That’s right, here it is, the female I that is me, only not, in the trailer for Be Kind, Rewind:

She has my exact profile from 10 years ago, with the same hair (color and length)- and with bangs. (I always knew I didn’t think bangs would be terribly flattering) It is strange, seeing my younger self in a trailer. I wonder what my pink-haired self thinks... oh wait, I know the answer to that one. "Damn, I am so famous."

no wait, it was "AHHA!! Now I have Proof!"

[Oct. 2nd, 2007|02:49 pm]
[mood | meh]

Like every other gamer out there, (or most) it is time for me to make my post with "Halo 3" as the title.

I am thoroughly unimpressed.

But maybe this cus I am female...Let me explain. )

I played a couple matches (deathmatch or whatnot) with my neighbors, and it didn’t seem all that different than H2 or whatever last Halo I played. The first game was all rocket launchers to get Jazzman(?) familiar with the controls. The map was interesting, but the rocket launchers took a million years to reload, and when I have someone coming up to kill me, I want to be able to retaliate.

Then we played a match with open weapons. I held my own (again) until the end when Jazzman surpassed me by several kills but he was no where near dstaid(?). Dstaid, owning the game and also playing online, worked us.

In all I didn’t have nearly as much fun as I had playing with my brother on R6 (coop) or playing Deathmatch on Unreal. I think it might have been the company, but it could also be because I am not totally awesome at FPSs on consoles. I can never whip my camera around as fast as I need to or I can’t hear someone coming up behind me. In any case, I wasn’t that thrilled with it, I think I will stick with Unreal Tournament online.

I am willing to change my mind though, and after I played, I read a review from [info]sephirotic’s blog and I think I may withhold judgment for a bit longer.

Day 3 [Jun. 15th, 2007|09:53 pm]
[Current Location |on the roof of the building]
[mood | indescribable]

It has been a much harder day today. It got exponentially worst since yesterday. Yesterday was relatively quiet, but for some reason, when night came, they all came out. As they always do. During the day there were several small groups all easily dispatched and taken care of with a small amount of fuss, and everyone from work that could left to go where they think it is safe. I on the other hand would not even try to brave the freeways right now. The accidents have gone up at an alarming rate. The ghouls are not by any means, frightened of fast moving traffic, and a loan ghoul on the freeway can tangle up the traffic for miles in each direction, and each car is a unwilling victim that is likely to be pulled from the car and eaten. I on the other hand live close to work and can roller blade or run, and both my work place and home are easily defensible. Currently I have opted for work, since it is the only place with an Internet connection. We have given up trying to work on our shots and the movie, and now are bent on surviving. Last I heard our director was headed out of California on his own private helicopter anyway. fine by me.

What I have noticed that is odd from the lat two days, that I have not seen before in the other invasions I have witnessed is the number of unread that have retained a certain amount of intelligence and they have been able to turn other people in to mindless minions doing their bidding. It seems that there are a number of zombies that have died and come back - much like Emperor Zombie - that are now evil and vile creatures bent on world domination. Most have not been able to handle the transition well and die quickly, one worries me though.

Lee Press-On formerly the band leader of Lee Press-On and the Nails, is the one that worries me the most. I have been reading what little information I could get, mostly blogs from other sources I know and trust, and it all points to him turning people and making his own horde of minions. I did not know he was able do that, but it seems he has gathered quite the following. Currently I have heard that they are all on foot and taking over the Hollywood Hills. Being in Culver City, I have not seen this yet, and I am fortunate not to have come across him, as I admired him greatly in his former life.

We have currently boarded ourselves in for the night and things are starting to sound nasty outside. I had better go as I am taking watch starting at 10 and going on through the night. I can only hope that we have made this place as impenetrable as I had hoped.

Day 2 of the Zombie Uprising. [Jun. 14th, 2007|08:44 am]
[mood | determined]

I have not written much in the last couple months as I have been busy packing and moving. Something weird was taking place in Vancouver, British Columbia when I was there. I was there for less than 6 months, but it was obvious, and the signs were everywhere. The people there have been brainwashed. I did not know why nor how at the time, but I had my suspicions about the brainwashing, and that was enough to motivate me to move out of there as soon as I was able.

I have heard that it has just gotten worse there since I left and the souless are starting to walk about in broad daylight. It was only at night that I heard them or saw them, and that was largely by virtue of living near Stanley Park. They have been spotted at my old place of work though now, at the Sun Tower in Gastown. I hope my other friends are okay, but if anyone would be safe in an uprising, it would be Cory, and I have heard from Joe fairly often, so I know he is safe.

Here has been mostly quiet. All but for the last 2 days. The numbers of the undead have sky rocketed and I am back to what I was doing before in San Francisco. Hunting Zombies. I am fortunate to work in the place I do. The building I work in is a veritable maze that is well fortified from the inside and out. The undead have been bold, but they have not yet been able to come in, and we are still able to run from one building to another unhindered. The Trader Joes near us has been nearly gutted for provisions, but people do not realize yet how bad it will become. I heard Hollywood Blvd has it the worst right now, there is a large concentration of undead there, and bodies. Bodies that are likely to rise soon again. Oddly enough, people are still yelling about deadlines and working....they will grasp onto anything that is normal at the moment.

It is beyond that for me though. It became "normal" a long time ago to hunt the dead. It is now "normal" for me to check for exits upon entering a room, and looking for the best place to run. I live close enough to work, so I brought the weapons that will best be used...and I have found everyone that is good with a gun here. It is just a matter of time now.

Rain [Apr. 17th, 2007|12:06 pm]

Asking me "is it raining in Vancouver" is like me asking my friends in Palm Springs "is it sunny there today."
